Moody\'s says bitcoin quantum response deadline is 2030

Global credit rating agency Moody\'s warned that responding to quantum computing is no longer a long-term task for bitcoin and the digital asset industry. It said U.S. executive orders signed by President Donald Trump increased pressure on the crypto industry to show it can defend core cryptography, bringing forward federal post-quantum migration goals from 2035 to 2030-2031. Moody\'s said quantum-capable attacks could undermine public-key cryptography and make losses hard to reverse in on-chain transactions.
