Shina Jung (정신아) says Kakao will make \'AI for All\' a daily habit
Shina Jung, CEO of Kakao, set out a plan to spread the \'AI for All\' initiative into everyday services by using familiar touchpoints such as KakaoTalk and phone calls. She said the goal is to provide AI experiences that go beyond answering questions and actually carry out tasks. Kakao’s consortium combines Kakao, LG group affiliates including LG Uplus, and specialist firms such as FuriosaAI. Kakao aims to secure more than 5 million users by December and later expand to 30 million.

Pro-crypto group backs 32 U.S. lawmakers over support for Clarity Act
Stand With Crypto, a cryptocurrency advocacy group backed by Coinbase, has selected 32 sitting U.S. federal lawmakers for support in November midterm elections. The group’s criterion was whether they voted for the Clarity bill, which passed the House last year but has stalled in the Senate. The organisation says it aims to make the bill a campaign issue and build momentum for the next session.

Coinbase appoints veteran engineer Rob Witoff as CTO, CEO calls him key to AI shift
Coinbase has appointed long-serving engineer Rob Witoff as chief technology officer, the company said. CEO Brian Armstrong said Witoff has contributed to the company’s growth and played a key role in making Coinbase one of the world’s most active users of artificial intelligence. Witoff said he has formally begun his duties. The move comes as Coinbase accelerates an AI-first shift, following layoffs and organisational changes in 2026.
