[DigitalToday reporter Seul-gi Son] LG HelloVision said on Oct. 20 it will launch a special series, "Ask the National Audit: Local Issues," that focuses on regional issues discussed during the 2026 parliamentary audit.

The series is a segment delivered through the regional channel news program "Hello tv News," presenting key local issues and alternative government policies during the audit period in terms suited to residents.

Coverage includes changes to marine ecosystems and coastal safety measures amid climate change, demand for inbound medical tourism concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, and gaps in course offerings at small high schools along with teacher shortages.

LG HelloVision plans to cover not only lawmakers' questions but also responses from government ministries and audited agencies, as well as follow-up measures, so that local issues can lead to practical institutional improvements.

Shim Ji-hoon (심지훈), head of LG HelloVision's news bureau, said, "The national audit is an important opportunity to elevate key local issues into policy tasks for the central government." He said, "We will fulfill the fundamental role of local media so that locally tailored policy alternatives can be of practical help to residents' lives."
