Zcash (ZEC) rose to $1,290, its highest level since November 2016, blockchain outlet U.Today reported. The token posted a 1-year return of 2,413% and was up 10.55% on the day at $1,282, with weekly gains of 57.23% and a 30-day rise of 154% on CoinGecko data. Large holders bought ZEC, open interest rose to $2.91 billion, and options began trading for a U.S.-listed privacy-asset ETP.

It said the default trusted validator list includes about 35 validators, with only 1 operated by Ripple, and more than 150 validators participate overall. Protocol changes require support from at least 80 percent of validators. 21Shares added that Ripple remains a key firm in the XRP ecosystem and holds billions of XRP in escrow.

An analysis says adding a small amount of bitcoin can improve the risk-adjusted performance of a traditional investment portfolio even after bitcoin fell about 50 percent from its peak. BlackRock compared a 60/40 stock-bond portfolio with portfolios that include 1 percent and 2 percent bitcoin using 10 years of rolling data through May 29, 2026. Returns and Sharpe ratios rose while volatility and maximum drawdowns changed only slightly, it found.
