Crypto risks rise as market ties with Wall Street grow, European regulators warn

Stripe affiliate Bridge wins Luxembourg approval, enters EU MiCA register

Bridge, a stablecoin infrastructure firm affiliated with Stripe, has been added to the European Union\'s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) register after securing regulatory approval in Luxembourg. The listing brings the number of electronic money token (EMT) issuers on the EU register to 42, Cointelegraph reported. The update was reflected in the latest release published by the European Securities and Markets Authority on Aug. 6.

BNY Mellon subsidiary joins MiCA register as ESMA adds 15 providers

The European Securities and Markets Authority added 15 crypto-asset service providers to the MiCA register, lifting the total number of registered entities to 309. The update includes BNY SA/NV, a Belgian subsidiary of BNY Mellon, along with four banks and digital asset platforms. It was the third post-deadline update since the July 1 transition date. Registrations rose most in Germany and Denmark, with three additions each.
