Xpeng unveils VLA 2.0, bets on human-like driving feel
Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng introduced its VLA 2.0 autonomous driving system, highlighting human-like driving judgments and rapid localisation. It said its in-house Turing AI chip and simulation-based training enable more natural driving than rule-based approaches. Xpeng said the system anticipates road situations and makes context-aware decisions. It also said the new GX offers up to 3,000 TOPS and processes more data inside the vehicle. The company said it can adapt abroad without HD maps or rewriting rules.

87 percent of mobile apps hit by attacks as AI lowers barriers for hackers
Cyber attacks on customer-facing mobile apps have surged in recent years as AI lowers the technical, time and cost barriers for attackers, a study found. Digital.ai compiled its 2026 application security threat report using telemetry data from billions of app instances at clients in finance, healthcare, automotive and telecommunications. It said 87 percent of monitored apps were attacked in 2026, up from 55 percent in 2022, as AI model use spread after ChatGPT launched.

Bae Gyeong-hun discusses AI synergies with Qatar in meeting with trade minister
South Korea\'s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT Bae Gyeong-hun met Qatari Minister of State for Trade Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed in Seoul on Wednesday to discuss ways to expand cooperation in artificial intelligence. The two sides shared the view that AI is key to strengthening national competitiveness and that policy investment and global cooperation are needed. Bae proposed strengthening infrastructure links and expanding exchanges of AI talent and technology.
