Delaware and New Jersey advance bills to ban cryptocurrency ATMs

Delaware and New Jersey have each moved bills to ban cryptocurrency ATMs to the floor of their legislatures. The proposals would prohibit the ownership, installation and operation of crypto ATMs, driven by concerns they are mainly used for fraud. Delaware’s bill would require existing machines to be removed within 90 days if enacted and includes fines and refund requirements. Supporters cite FBI data showing complaints and losses rising in 2025.

Y Combinator urges swift Senate passage of CLARITY bill

U.S. startup accelerator Y Combinator has publicly urged the Senate to pass the CLARITY bill, a digital asset market structure proposal. It said all YC companies would eventually use cryptocurrency technology, including stablecoins, and stressed the need for a regulatory framework. The company described blockchain as an “Internet of Assets” and cited use cases such as cross-border payroll and faster marketplace payouts. The bill would clarify oversight by asset type and includes customer protections.

XRP spot ETF draws $1.43 billion in bear market, contrasting with bitcoin and ethereum

XRP spot exchange-traded funds have continued to draw money even as prices fall, showing a steadier pattern than bitcoin and ethereum spot ETFs. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart said XRP and Solana spot ETFs held up better than expected despite launching in late October 2025 as the crypto market turned down. Data showed $1.19 million of net inflows in a day and cumulative net inflows of about $1.43 billion since November 2025.
