OpenAI releases ChatGPT Image 2.0 as AI evolution targets posters and UI
OpenAI has unveiled a new image generation model for ChatGPT called Image 2.0. Foreign media reported the model significantly improves text handling, addressing common spelling and layout issues seen in diffusion-based image AI. OpenAI said it adds reasoning capabilities to support web search, multi-image generation and result verification, enabling marketing drafts and multi-scene comics. Text rendering in non-Latin scripts improved, though its knowledge cutoff is December 2025.

London Stock Exchange Group unveils tokenised deposit-based blockchain payment service
London Stock Exchange Group has introduced a digital payment service called DiSH that converts commercial bank funds to a blockchain network, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 15. The service uses tokenised commercial bank deposits called DiSH Cash to connect blockchain and traditional payment networks for real-time settlement. Cointelegraph said DiSH Cash is based on bank deposits rather than a stablecoin and can act as cash in foreign exchange and digital asset transactions.

Hana Financial opens meal facility to support senior jobs
Hana Financial Group on Thursday opened a side-dish meal box manufacturing facility in Incheon aimed at creating jobs for senior workers. The project is run with Yeonsu district, which provided the site, while Hana built the cooking facilities. The meals will be delivered to about 350 households, including vulnerable youths and elderly people living alone.
