Dell Technologies unveils next-generation supercomputer server targeting HPC and AI, expands Dell AI Factory

Dell Technologies on Monday unveiled the Dell PowerEdge XE8812, a new server adopting Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL4 architecture. The company said the system can support up to 144 GPUs per rack and will be added to the Nvidia-based Dell AI Factory lineup. Dell plans to accelerate expansion of Dell AI Factory across global fields including engineering and design workflows, genomics and efforts to advance sovereign AI initiatives. The server is due for global launch in early 2027.

Dell aims at tokenomics era, says AI factory will support corporate AI

Dell Technologies set out its corporate AI infrastructure strategy at Dell Technologies World 2026 in Las Vegas, targeting what it called the tokenomics era. It said surging token use and data processing driven by agentic AI require full-stack infrastructure spanning computing, networking, storage and security. Executives highlighted workload placement across PCs, data centres and cloud, and an Nvidia-linked “AI Factory” portfolio. Dell also introduced new storage and cyber resilience products and stressed distributed private infrastructure.

Dell Technologies showcased its artificial intelligence partnership with Nvidia at Dell Technologies World 2026 in Las Vegas. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made a surprise on-stage appearance during Michael Dell\'s keynote, highlighting the companies\' AI Factory alliance. Dell unveiled updates to its Nvidia-based Dell AI Factory and introduced desk-side agentic AI for running autonomous agents locally. Dell also detailed AI data platform enhancements, a Dell PowerRack infrastructure offering and a new AI ecosystem program.
