Daewon CTS seeks cooperation with Kazakhstan government on AI modular data centres

Daewon CTS said on Wednesday its enterprise division signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan\'s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development to cooperate on AI modular data centres and AI infrastructure. The agreement was reached at a Korea-Kazakhstan business roundtable held on the sidelines of the first Korea-Central Asia summit. The two sides plan to form a joint working group and pursue individual projects through separate contracts.

Qualcomm says AI is new UI, steps up full-stack on-device AI push

Qualcomm said AI will become the new user interface as it expands its on-device AI strategy from smartphones into PCs. The company set out three requirements for on-device AI: fast response, privacy protection and power efficiency, and highlighted its Hexagon NPU. It also described a three-layer approach spanning SoC, operating system and apps, and said more than 100 NPU-optimised apps are available. Qualcomm also detailed its co-design partnership with Samsung and unveiled Korean retail and IT partners for its PC push.
