Korean game firms reshape leadership as mobile growth formula fades

Nexon and Neowiz put development and global capabilities forward, Krafton reshaped publishing leadership, and Kakao Games and Wemade moved amid governance changes.

Nexon to end Crazy Arcade service despite record results as profit-floor strategy reaches long-running games
Nexon will end service for its 25-year-old online game Crazy Arcade on Aug. 13 despite posting record results last year. The move follows a profit-floor policy and portfolio review pushed by Patrick Soderlund, head of Nexon’s Japan unit, after he took office in February. Nexon has also ended Bubble Fighter, halted Project EL and shifted Dungeon & Fighter Mobile’s China operations to Tencent. Nexon says it has no additional plans to end other classic IP services for now.
