Wrtn raises 100 billion won in Series C, valued at 1 trillion won

Wrtn Technologies said on Tuesday it raised 100 billion won in a Series C funding round, with the company valued at more than 1 trillion won. The company said it is the first domestic AI service startup to be valued above 1 trillion won. Total funding is about 230 billion won. New investors included Coreline Ventures and Eugene Asset Management. Wrtn said its North America platform OOC topped 10 billion won in monthly revenue within three months.

The security market is being reshaped around AI, spurring active mergers and acquisitions as companies seek to expand stakes and strengthen AI-based security capabilities while addressing risks from wider AI use. Security Week reported 21 deals worldwide in July, with the trend continuing in August. Fortinet agreed to buy Virtue AI. Brinqa bought FlexTrack, and Cribl acquired Radiant Security AI assets. CrowdStrike CTO to launch cyber venture fund Cognition, betting on AI-driven security reshuffle

CrowdStrike global chief technology officer Eliya Zaytsev is leaving the company to launch a new venture fund, Cognition, Axios reported on Aug. 20. The fund is targeting $170 million. Zaytsev is founding Cognition with Gur Talpaz and Taylor Shifrin, who previously worked in CrowdStrike’s corporate development team and went on to start early-stage fund Brightmind. Cognition plans to lead or co-lead seed and Series A rounds.
