Hana Financial offers free mobile eye checkups for seniors in medically underserved areas

Hana Financial Group is stepping up inclusive initiatives linking healthcare and finance in areas with weak medical infrastructure. The group said it carried out a “free mobile eye checkup” programme at a senior welfare centre in Chungnam on May 18. The programme targets older people who have limited access to ophthalmology services and face difficulty travelling for care. Hana plans 20 rounds of checkups, with referrals and free glasses and eye drops.

Cafe24 to train 200 South Chungcheong small merchants for e-commerce from June

Cafe24 will provide wide-ranging training support for small merchants in South Chungcheong province to help them enter the e-commerce market, from building online stores to AI marketing. Cafe24 said on May 11 it will run a digital capability program with the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency from June to November for 200 local small merchants. The program includes onboarding, content production and sales linkage. After completion, Cafe24 will support store operation and LotteON entry and monitor sales data for one month.

National AI strategy committee launches Chungcheong AX, checks K-Moonshot progress

South Korea\'s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Committee inspected progress on the K-Moonshot implementation strategy and bio AX, key tasks under the \"Republic of Korea AI Action Plan,\" in the Chungcheong region. Standing Vice Chairman Moon-young Lim (임문영) visited AI research infrastructure in Daejeon and the bio and medical AI industry in Osong. He also delivered a keynote at a forum at Chungnam National University and reviewed supercomputer and AI resource initiatives at KISTI.
