Crypto hot issues: Virtual asset tax rules due next month as Uptober rally loses steam

Hecto Financial expands global payment networks, stablecoin settlement first-mover hopes

Hecto Financial is expanding its business base in the global digital-asset payment and settlement market by joining Circle Payments Network and the OpenUSD ecosystem, an analyst note said. The company’s foreign-exchange licence, cross-border partner network and bank transfer network could act as barriers to entry for new players, it said. LS Securities forecast 2026 revenue of 225 billion won, up 20 percent, and operating profit of 26 billion won, up 67 percent.

Hecto Financial joins global stablecoin OpenUSD alliance, expands payment infrastructure

Hecto Financial will join Open Standard, a global corporate alliance for the dollar-based stablecoin OpenUSD (OUSD), as a network partner, it said on Wednesday. The alliance includes about 160 companies such as Visa, Mastercard, Stripe and Coinbase. Hecto Financial said it is reviewing plans to use OUSD for overseas remittances and corporate payments and settlement, and to offer different infrastructures such as Circle Payments Network and OUSD depending on clients and countries.
