AWS says agentic and physical AI expand possibilities, will keep investing aggressively in South Korea

Amazon Web Services highlighted agentic AI and physical AI as key themes at AWS Summit Seoul 2026 on May 19 and 20. AWS said AI is reshaping the software development lifecycle and expanding from the digital world into the physical world, and it is introducing new programs to support the shift. AWS Korea chief Ham Ki-ho cited domestic customer cases, while CFO John Felton said AWS plans cumulative investment of 12.6 trillion won in South Korea from 2018 to 2031.

CJ OliveNetworks completes Shinsung Trading next-generation POS build

CJ OliveNetworks said on March 24 it has completed building Shinsung Trading\'s next-generation point-of-sale (POS) system and kiosks and will support operations at about 1,300 stores nationwide. Shinsung Trading has expanded the project in stages since last year to improve operational efficiency and user convenience. CJ OliveNetworks integrated the previously dispersed POS systems into a cloud-based environment, built high-performance and high-availability infrastructure, and simplified POS functions with a more intuitive interface.

CJ OliveNetworks to join AW2026 manufacturing AX show, share AI factory vision

CJ OliveNetworks said it will participate in the manufacturing AX exhibition Automation World 2026 from March 4 to March 6. The event will be held at COEX in Seoul. The company said it will showcase next-generation AX technologies for future industrial sites. It will run a large booth in a special AI Factory pavilion under the theme “AI FACTORY FOR LIFE” and provide experience opportunities for agentic AI used in its smart manufacturing and logistics AX business.
