CJ OliveNetworks said on March 24 it has completed building Shinsung Trading's next-generation point-of-sale (POS) system and kiosks and will support operations at about 1,300 stores nationwide.
Shinsung Trading, which owns multiple mega brands including Topten, ZIOZIA and OLZEN, has expanded the next-generation POS rollout in stages across all stores since last year to boost operational efficiency and improve user convenience.
CJ OliveNetworks integrated Shinsung Trading's previously dispersed POS systems into a cloud-based environment and built high-performance, high-availability infrastructure. It also upgraded systems optimized for large-scale retail stores. It simplified previously complex POS functions and revamped the screen layout to be more intuitive, supporting ease of use so employees can handle tasks more easily.
With the build, Shinsung Trading will integrate and manage payment and sales data from about 1,300 stores nationwide on a cloud basis, establishing a data-driven decision-making system.
Sang-young Lee (이상영), head of retail and entertainment at CJ OliveNetworks, said, "This is a meaningful result from building a stable next-generation POS environment for a leading domestic fashion company." He added, "We will continue to support clients' AX transformation and strengthening of business competitiveness based on our IT service capabilities specialized for the retail industry."
