CJ OliveNetworks said on Wednesday it won a project from general programming channel MBN to build a next-generation newsroom computer system (NRCS, News Room Computer System) and has begun full-scale system upgrades.
The project centres on building user-focused newsroom, scheduling and advertising systems, creating a secure smart-work environment by strengthening security, and supporting a structured project management system.
CJ OliveNetworks plans to implement AX for the newsroom information system through building expertise by assembling specialised staff in the broadcast and media field, innovating a user-centred digital workflow, establishing an access-control-based security framework and supporting customer-led change management.
MBN's next-generation newsroom information system is scheduled to officially open in October. CJ OliveNetworks also carried out a broadcast system upgrade project at LoL Park, an e-sports arena for the popular game League of Legends (LoL).
The project focused on upgrading ageing e-sports broadcast equipment, including camera systems, real-time communication devices between players and broadcast crews, and real-time transmission equipment, with new broadcast equipment.
Bong-ho Shin (신봉호), head of broadcast and media at CJ OliveNetworks, said winning the projects was the result of recognition for CJ OliveNetworks' broadcast and media IT capabilities and operational know-how. He said the company would continue to support customers so they can realise business value through differentiated technological capabilities as a strategic partner leading digital transformation in the media industry.
