Linkalpha hires former Coupang Pay CFO Na Hye-won as COO
Linkalpha, an AI-native financial intelligence company, said on Sept. 1 it has hired Na Hye-won (나혜원), a former Coupang Pay chief financial officer, as chief operating officer. Na previously worked at KB Kookmin Bank and Morgan Stanley and held COO and CFO roles at IT platform and content companies. Linkalpha plans to upgrade its finance and operations systems and strengthen organisational competitiveness as it expands globally.

Kurly posts Q2 operating profit of 27.4 billion won, up 1,991 percent
Kurly posted a second-quarter operating profit of 27.4 billion won, extending its run of quarterly profitability to six quarters. Revenue rose 27 percent from a year earlier to 734.8 billion won. Net profit was 25.4 billion won, marking a second straight profitable quarter. The company cited improved profitability, including growth in commission-based revenue such as seller-delivered products, and higher gross margin.

Asset manager Strive kept buying bitcoin despite posting a large second-quarter net loss, raising its total holdings to 20,167 bitcoin. The company said it added 147 bitcoin to its digital asset treasury reserve and reported a second-quarter net loss of $257.6 million, citing a fall in bitcoin prices during the quarter. Strive said it repaid all short- and long-term debt and had no outstanding loans as of Aug. 7.
