Samsung Electronics unveils next-generation P9, P7 SSDs
Samsung Electronics unveiled two new portable solid-state drives featuring the next-generation USB4 interface. The company introduced the P9 and P7 models at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany. The flagship P9 supports sequential read speeds of up to 4,000MB per second and sequential write speeds of 3,800MB per second, about double the previous generation. Samsung said it was the first in the world to deliver 4,000MB/s at 8TB capacity and won a CES 2026 Innovation Award.

AI consulting firm USLab.ai unveiled a web service, Seontae Expo, that reshapes comments on YouTube videos by Kim Sun-tae into an exhibition-style format. The project reflects how generative AI tools can help turn ideas into working prototypes quickly, while also requiring human direction and quality control. The service categorises comments into different halls and was built using tools including ChatGPT and Gemini.

MSIT hears views from CES innovation award-winning companies
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held a meeting in Las Vegas with Korean companies that won innovation awards and AI champion awards at CES 2026. Companies including Mobilint, PersonaAI, DeepX and HL Mando attended, along with AI champion award winners such as Stratio Korea and Vacatio. Participants discussed ICT technology commercialisation and scale-up, stressing the need to link ICT R&D with follow-on support and policies to help firms overcome funding and reference shortages.
