China\'s AutoFlight unveils 10-seat electric VTOL with CATL support
Chinese aviation startup AutoFlight has moved into the eVTOL market with backing from battery maker CATL, in a development seen as part of China\'s low-altitude economy strategy. The Shanghai-based company unveiled its 5-tonne Matrix aircraft and completed a flight demonstration at a test site near Kunshan. AutoFlight plans to expand from cargo into passenger transport and expects to obtain passenger certification within 1 to 2 years. It aims to cut air mobility costs and pursue large-scale commercialisation within 3 to 5 years.
