Jeremy Sturdivant (제러미 스터디번트), who received 10,000 bitcoin in the 2010 “Bitcoin Pizza Day” transaction, said he used the coins to cover expenses during a cross-country trip in the United States when he ran out of cash. The comments resurfaced after Blockstream CEO Adam Back (아담 백) reposted part of an interview clip. Bitcoin later hit a record high of about $126,000 in October 2025, implying the 10,000 BTC would be worth over $1.26 billion.
