KakaoGames makes strategic investment in AI backend firm BackendX
KakaoGames said on Tuesday it made a strategic investment in BackendX, an AI-based backend development and operations automation service company. KakaoGames plans to use the investment to identify promising indie and small game developers early and seek business opportunities that could lead to acquisitions and publishing. It is also considering offering BackendX services to small developers with which it has publishing deals. BackendX plans to launch its service on Sept. 7.
