NHN shifts game strategy to Japan, targets growth in cloud, payments and defense

NHN is adjusting its game business strategy to target Japan and laid out plans to secure new growth engines in cloud, payments and defense. CEO Jung Woo-jin said the company is preparing a strategy change and pursuing contracts with well-known IPs in Japan and projects under code names. NHN Cloud began operating water-cooled B200 GPUs at its Seoul Yangpyeong region and expects related revenue from the second quarter.

NHN Q1 operating profit falls 5 percent on ahead-of-curve AI infrastructure investment

NHN said its first-quarter operating profit fell 5 percent from a year earlier as it reflected costs for upfront investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure, including building AI GPU infrastructure. The company posted a 11.9 percent rise in quarterly sales to 671.4 billion won and operating profit of 26.3 billion won. Revenue rose across payments, games and technology, while NHN also announced a 16.7 billion won share buyback to be fully cancelled.

Nvidia B300 server fetches 1.5 billion won in China black market, more than doubles

Nvidia’s B300 server has risen to about 7 million yuan per unit in China’s black market, or about 1.6 million won, as high-performance GPUs for data centres remain hard to obtain. Official distribution is still blocked because China does not allow imports despite a partial easing of U.S. export rules. Sources said even supplies routed via third countries began tightening from January 2026, pushing prices to about 1.5 billion won by April 30.
