Sysone said on July 23 it was selected as the preferred negotiating party for the Air Force’s first GPU (graphics processing unit) infrastructure construction project.

The project is worth a total of 6.6 billion won on a lease basis and will be carried out for 2 units, including an A unit in Gyeryong and a B unit in Osan.

Sysone plans to supply Nvidia B300 GPU servers as well as precision air-conditioning units and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems. It also plans to carry out the full process, from building base environments such as power and cooling to integrated testing, inspection and acceptance, and user and administrator training.

Since 2021, Sysone has carried out the Air Force’s integrated maintenance project for computing equipment over multiple years. It is currently performing the “2025 to 2027 Air Force integrated maintenance service for computing equipment” and is supporting operations and maintenance systems by deploying resident personnel to major Air Force units.

A Sysone official said, “This project is meaningful in that it goes beyond the simple supply of equipment and involves participation in building an AI-based mission execution system for the Air Force.” The official added, “Through stable project execution, we will secure demonstration results and will continue to expand our business scope to GPU infrastructure projects across the entire military, including the Army and Navy.”
