Glean bets on enterprise AI context over models
The enterprise software AI market is intensifying as Microsoft and Google embed assistants into productivity suites. Glean Technologies is focusing on building an “intelligence layer” that connects AI models with enterprise data rather than on user-facing interfaces. It promotes model neutrality, mixes proprietary and open-source models, and stresses permission-based governance and verification to control hallucinations. Glean has expanded connectors and updated its assistant with voice, content tools and automation. It raised $150 million in June 2025 at a $7.2 billion valuation.
