Coinbase, Strike CEOs rebut concerns over bitcoin capital and power shift

AI agent payments spreading, existing card networks not enough, Visa-Artemis report says

Commercialisation of autonomous AI agent economies is being held back by payment-infrastructure bottlenecks, an analysis said. Visa and Artemis said in a joint report that existing global card payment networks are insufficient to process AI agents’ high-frequency, low-value payments. The report said AI agent payments would need near-zero fees and faster settlement. It said some standards, including Coinbase’s x402 protocol, are showing early adoption.
