Underdog to roll out cryptocurrency deposit feature by year-end

U.S. sports prediction market Underdog plans to introduce a feature by year-end that lets users deposit stablecoins and cryptocurrencies directly into prediction market accounts. The company is working with infrastructure platform Zerohash to enable qualified customers to add funds through the Underdog app outside bank hours, including evenings and weekends. Underdog and Zerohash executives highlighted speed and expanded choices. Some services may be unavailable in New York, and crypto holdings are not covered by FDIC or SIPC protection.

XRP market cap nears 6 percent of bitcoin, can it regain peak status

XRP’s market capitalisation has climbed to near 6 percent of bitcoin’s, according to figures cited by The Crypto Basic. Grayscale Investments put XRP at almost 6 percent of bitcoin’s value based on 30-day average market caps using data from Artemis, FTSE Russell and Grayscale. As of Sept. 28, bitcoin’s market cap was about $1.678 trillion and XRP’s was $94.08 billion, or about 5.6 percent. Grayscale classed bitcoin as a core asset and XRP as a supplementary candidate.

SpaceX moves to withdraw Dragon, Falcon 9 crewed missions after 2030, widening NASA low Earth orbit gap

SpaceX has told NASA it plans to stop low Earth orbit crewed missions using Crew Dragon and Falcon 9 after 2030, while supporting the International Space Station through 2030. The move could disrupt NASA’s low Earth orbit commercialisation plans and complicate transport for private space stations. NASA has limited ability to compel flights beyond contract obligations. NASA may have to rely more on Boeing’s Starliner, despite higher costs and a limited operating record.
