Stablecoin market grows to $306 billion, daily payment adoption still a challenge
The tokenised asset market is expanding, but investor demand and liquidity are not keeping pace, speakers at a Connect event in Singapore said. They flagged an imbalance between supply and demand in real-world asset tokenisation and growing fragmentation of liquidity. In stablecoins, they said linking to everyday payments matters more than cross-border transfers, with user experience and regulatory compliance also key. Stablecoin market capitalisation reached $306 billion.

Grayscale buys $20.2 million of SOL as VanEck sees selling
Asset manager Grayscale has bought $20.2 million worth of Solana over the past 20 days, increasing its presence in the market. It bought SOL through its Solana exchange-traded fund, GSOL. Data released by Arkham Intelligence showed steady daily inflows in most trading sessions over the past month, with outflows on only one day. By contrast, VanEck’s VSOL ETF saw redemptions and sold about $700,000 of SOL in the latest session.

Tesla\'s long-term bitcoin holdings swell in value over four years
Tesla has continued to hold 8,430 bitcoin, with little change in the amount held, while its valuation has risen about 3.8 times over four years on higher prices. The value of 8,430 bitcoin rose from about $250 million in 2022 to about $960 million recently, an increase of about $710 million. The figure reflects valuation gains, not realised profit, and future value may change with bitcoin prices.
