[DigitalToday reporter Hyunwoo Choo (추현우)] Morgan Stanley has recently bought bitcoin for three consecutive days, increasing its holdings to about $400 million. On Aug. 7 (local time), blockchain media outlet U.Today reported that this trend was confirmed in recent data from Arkham Intelligence.
Morgan Stanley has continued to increase its bitcoin holdings since launching the MSTU bitcoin ETF in April. It has recently stepped up buying, purchasing bitcoin for three trading days in a row.
The value of Morgan Stanley's bitcoin holdings currently stands at about $400 million. It continued buying despite market weakness, showing its intention to expand bitcoin investment.
Morgan Stanley has also recently launched what it called the cheapest ethereum ETF and solana ETF. It is increasing low-cost cryptocurrency investment products aimed at institutional investors, strengthening its position as a cryptocurrency ETF issuer.
Bitcoin has been fluctuating around $64,000, showing no clear direction. In these market conditions, Morgan Stanley's consecutive purchases have drawn attention, with the market watching whether this reflects conviction in bitcoin or a move to secure liquidity.
