Apple M7 Ultra may support up to 1.5 TB of RAM, matching Intel Mac Pro

Apple is said to be preparing a next-generation M7 Ultra chip with up to 1.5 TB of unified memory. If released, Apple silicon Macs would reach the top memory specification of the 2019 Intel Mac Pro. Bloomberg\'s Mark Gurman wrote in a newsletter that Apple is preparing the support, but said the configuration may not ship because of an ongoing memory supply shortage. The plan is seen as widening memory limits for professional users.

Apple may skip high-performance M6 and go straight to AI-focused M7

Apple may apply the M6 chip, expected this autumn, to only some products and then move directly to the M7 generation, a report said. It said Apple is considering releasing only the base M6 while shifting pro-grade models to M7. The report said M6 Pro and M6 Max may not be in development, and M7 is expected to focus on major advances in on-device AI processing.

Not all iPhones will get Siri AI even with iOS 27; support limited to iPhone 15 Pro and later

Apple is expected to offer its AI-based Siri, due this autumn, only on models from the iPhone 15 Pro onward. Engadget reported the upgrade will be available only on devices that support Apple Intelligence. For iPads and Macs, eligible models include those with Apple silicon, and the 2024 iPad mini is included because it uses the same system-on-chip as the iPhone 15 Pro. Users can check support in the Settings app.
