Apple shares rebound 5 percent on hopes for foldable iPhone Ultra output boost
Apple shares rebounded 5 percent after falling following a price hike announcement, as investors focused more on the potential expansion of a foldable iPhone. NineToFiveMac reported that Apple asked suppliers to increase production of the foldable iPhone Ultra, lifting its target from 7 to 8 million units to about 10 million. IDC expects the model’s average selling price at about $2,500.

The stock is increasingly seen as a listed way to leverage bitcoin volatility. Strategy holds 847,363 bitcoin at an average purchase price of $75,646, with unrealised losses exceeding $11.7 billion as bitcoin trades around $61,000. STRD and STRK preferred shares were also cited as a burden.

U.S. President Donald Trump bought large amounts of major tech stocks including Apple, Nvidia and Microsoft after a tariff-driven market selloff in April 2025, CNBC reported after reviewing his annual financial disclosure. The filing shows 327 stock purchases on April 8. The White House said his assets are held in a fully discretionary account managed by an independent third-party institution. The disclosure also lists 2025 revenue of $2.24 billion from various sources.
