OpenAI tests paid reset option for ChatGPT Plus usage limits
OpenAI is testing a feature that lets some ChatGPT Plus users immediately reset their usage limits by paying an additional fee. The option appears alongside the $20 monthly subscription and allows weekly usage to be restored instantly. OpenAI said it is an early experiment for a limited group as it considers ways for users who hit limits to buy more usage. The move follows a Codex reset system introduced in June.

Saaspocalypse debate flares again as software stocks whipsaw
U.S. software shares swung sharply this week as fears grew that AI could erode the value of existing software products. CNBC reported that a cut-price sale of Airtable and steep post-earnings drops in HubSpot, Datadog and Figma helped revive the so-called “Saaspocalypse” debate. Wall Street concerns centre on coding tools such as OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code. Some stocks later rebounded after results.
