Prentis is in talks to raise $100 million based on a $1 billion valuation.
TechCrunch reported on July 24 that Prentis is negotiating with investors while highlighting the development of AI agents that handle repetitive office work directly on computers.
Founded in April, Prentis was co-founded by Ritankar Das (리탄카르 다스), Reid Hoffman (리드 호프먼) and Mark Pincus (마크 핀커스). The company is developing a model that learns office workers’ routine workflows by moving between documents and business systems. Its goal is to create customised AI agents that directly control computers to automate tasks such as insurance claims and customs refund exception handling.
TechCrunch said Prentis has already signed contracts worth up to $50 million with several customers, including 1 healthcare management services organisation, 1 manufacturer and consumer goods and apparel manufacturers.
The investor presentation materials also included a projection of $75 million on an annualised basis in the third quarter this year.
On the technology side, Prentis claims its Hive-32B model outperformed OpenAI GPT-5.4 and Anthropic Claude Opus 4.6 on 2 computer-use benchmarks.
