U.S. asset manager seeks to register $75 million fund bundling XRP and ISO 20022 assets for retail investors

U.S. asset manager Gratus Reserve V has begun the process of registering a $75 million fund to offer retail investors an institutional-style digital asset strategy that includes XRP. It filed preliminary offering documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to register a decentralised corporate treasury portfolio. The firm highlighted lower XRP trading costs via institutional OTC desks and plans to include ISO 20022-aligned assets as well as bitcoin, ether and solana.

U.S. SEC includes XRP, Solana in new Nasdaq order, signaling institutional entry for four cryptocurrencies

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approved a Nasdaq Texas rule change that defines bitcoin and ether, along with solana and XRP, as “digital commodities” under exchange rules. The amendment allows actively managed crypto strategies and permits funds to hold assets that do not meet listing standards up to 15 percent of net asset value. The SEC said the move does not create a new federal commodities classification or approve specific XRP or Solana ETFs.

AIXC exits crypto treasury strategy, sells bitcoin and ether to pivot to robotics

Nasdaq-listed microcap AIXC has sold all of its digital assets and ended its cryptocurrency treasury strategy. In an amended S-1 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company disclosed plans to sell holdings including 33.49 bitcoin, 497.56 ether and 6,325.92 solana, as well as Chainlink, BNB and ADA. AIXC said it had about 50 percent unrealised losses and will pivot to robotics via its RoboShare platform.
