NH Nonghyup Bank to introduce AI financial secretary in December to support wealth management and jeonse loans
NH Nonghyup Bank is starting development of an AI financial secretary and plans to introduce the service on its mobile banking platform in December, then expand it to face-to-face consultations at branches next year. The bank said it held a project kickoff briefing with its AI-focused subsidiary AgileSoda to build a customer-facing AI agent. Planned functions include wealth management, jeonse loan support and consumer protection information.

KakaoPay joins NH NongHyup Bank alternative credit scoring model development
KakaoPay will join a NH NongHyup Bank-led consortium to develop an alternative credit scoring model using MyData and payment and remittance information. The companies signed a multilateral memorandum of understanding on July 15 at NH NongHyup Bank\'s new building in Seoul, KakaoPay said on Wednesday. Participants will combine non-financial data, credit scoring modelling capabilities and AI technology to build a joint model for use in financial products.

NH NongHyup Bank is stepping up its shift to agentic AI, positioning AI as a core driver of change across financial services rather than a tool for simple automation. The bank said it declared its conversion vision at an event in central Seoul. It set out three execution strategies: enabling all staff to build and use AI agents on its NHAIS platform, expanding AI Full-Banking across operations, and strengthening links with the external AI ecosystem through acquisitions, partnerships and data centre investment.
