As interest grows in AI agents that handle specific tasks without humans, the tech infrastructure industry is also stepping up strategies tailored to AI agents. Moves are active across the industry to overhaul technologies and products to optimise not only hardware but also software and payment markets for AI agents.

Salesforce, the world's largest cloud CRM company, recently unveiled "Salesforce Headless 360", a CRM used by AI agents rather than humans. It is being described as the boldest architectural change in the company's history. Headless 360 lets AI agents directly call and execute functions across the Salesforce platform using APIs, MCP tools and command-line interface (CLI) commands, without humans opening screens and clicking. Previously, people had to access the platform via a web browser and click through screens to use it. Headless 360 removes the screen.

Box CEO Aaron Levie (아론 레비) said that as AI agents use more software than people, software can be used far more than it is today. He said it is inevitable for software business models to shift to headless. Salesforce is also accelerating efforts to target the IT service management (ITSM) market. It is highlighting that it has embedded AI into the platform from the start, rather than simply adding it on.

The payments industry is also aggressive in supporting AI agents. As companies move faster to expand protocols that support AI agent payments, Visa also unveiled Intelligent Commerce Connect, a platform that lets AI agents make payments on behalf of consumers.

Other moves by companies in and outside South Korea around AI are also summarised.

OpenAI updated its agent software development kit (SDK) to support companies developing AI agents. It also unveiled plans to gradually expand access to GPT-5.4-Cyber, which has cybersecurity capabilities, to users who have undergone identity verification. OpenAI also supports HWP and HWPX files, the Hancom Office "Hangul" document formats, in ChatGPT. It is seen as a move aimed at targeting the South Korean enterprise market, including financial firms and public institutions, beyond simply improving user convenience.
