NH NongHyup Bank is stepping up its transformation strategy, positioning AI as a key pillar that changes financial services overall rather than a simple work automation tool.

NH NongHyup Bank said on Monday it held the 'NH Agentic AI Bank Vision Day' at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, and declared a vision for an agentic AI transition for the future of finance.

The bank presented 'an agentic AI bank that realises customers' hearts' as its future finance vision. As AI is changing the very way finance exists, it aims to reshape the bank to better understand customers' daily lives and expand employees' work capabilities.

It has three main execution strategies. First, based on its AI platform NHAIS, it will build a system that enables all employees to create AI agents themselves and use them for work. It aims to move beyond AI use centred on specific departments or specialist staff and make AI a work tool for all employees.

It will also pursue 'AI Full-Banking' that implements financial operations overall with AI. The bank plans to expand a range of AI agent services to broaden AI use in customer consultations, internal work and the process of providing financial services.

It will also strengthen connections with the external AI ecosystem. It will move to foster a future AI finance ecosystem through acquisitions of AI companies and expanded cooperation, and invest in AI data centre infrastructure to secure a stable base for AI operations.

At the event, it also held the launch ceremony for AX Frontier, an AI transformation execution group of 77 people. An acquisition ceremony for AI technology company AgileSoDA and a selection ceremony for 2026 partner companies for the NH Open Business Hub were also held. The bank's policy is to link internal innovation groups with external technology companies so its AI strategy leads to actual customer experience and business innovation.

Kang Tae-young (강태영), CEO of NH NongHyup Bank, presented the direction of change in finance in the AI era through a hologram vision speech.

Kang said, "Financial competitiveness depends not on the technology itself but on how deeply you can connect with customers and execute," adding, "We will create a new standard for finance in South Korea."
