TTA first in South Korea to offer internationally accredited Wi-Fi HaLow testing and certification

The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on Monday it has provided South Korea’s first internationally accredited test service for the Wi-Fi Alliance’s Wi-Fi CERTIFIED HaLow and completed certification. TTA said it is the only domestic testing body operating an internationally accredited Wi-Fi HaLow test lab. The certified product was Neuratek’s NRC7394 EVB, which uses the company’s NRC7394 system-on-chip and has also obtained U.S. FCC radio certification.

LG Innotek Q2 operating profit jumps 2,057 percent

LG Innotek said on July 27 it posted second-quarter revenue of 55.27 trillion won and operating profit of 245.8 billion won. Revenue rose 40.5 percent and operating profit climbed 2,057 percent from a year earlier. Revenue was a record for a second quarter, and first-half revenue topped 100 trillion won for the first time. The company cited steady demand for mobile camera modules and strong supply of high value-added semiconductor substrates.

Korea AI Association holds National Assembly meeting on media-AI cooperation model in AI agent era

The Korea Artificial Intelligence Association and offices of lawmakers Song Ki-heon, Hwang Hee and Lee Yeon-hee held a meeting on July 22 to examine how the spread of AI agents affects news distribution and the formation of public opinion, and to seek a sustainable media-AI cooperation model. Participants discussed systems for news data access, control and compensation and a joint response framework among the media, the AI industry and the National Assembly.
