Xiaomi Korea launches five AIoT products in South Korea, from smart band to home cameras
Xiaomi Korea is launching five AIoT products in South Korea, including Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, Redmi Buds 8, Xiaomi Watch S5 46mm, and the Xiaomi Smart Camera C500 and C701 Pro. The company detailed specifications such as display brightness, battery life and sensors, and announced recommended retail prices. Some models will be sold at discounted prices for limited periods, including through Aug. 16 and Aug. 24.

HNIX, Heroes of the Era to work on commercialisation of on-premise AI development platform
IT services company HNIX said it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Heroes of the Era (WYHIL) to jointly commercialise an on-premise AI work and development platform called crux:PLATFORM. HNIX will lead new business development and sales to major clients, including Hyundai-affiliated groups and financial groups, and handle solution planning and joint project development. WYHIL will support technical validation, proposals, demos, briefings, upgrades and technical support.

MSIT to launch AI platform for compound disaster response with MOIS and MOLIT
South Korea will begin developing an AI platform to predict and respond to disasters at large mixed-use facilities such as supertall buildings linked to underground shopping areas and subways. The Ministry of Science and ICT said it will work with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. The three-year project will run from 2026 to 2028 with a total investment of 25.5 billion won.
