PIPC holds briefing on guidelines for writing privacy policies, shares revisions

South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission held a briefing on April 28 to share key points of the revised guidelines for writing privacy policies it released on April 24. The commission also provided guidance on updated privacy policy guidelines, standards for handling pseudonymised data and personal data processing in generative AI services. It said the event focused on helping people better understand how their data is handled and supporting on-site application of the new standards.

The model expands long-context handling, improves price competitiveness and highlights optimisation for Chinese-made chips. DeepSeek released two versions, V4-Pro and V4-Flash, with web, app and API access. It also touted benchmark performance and resource reductions versus its prior model. V4 is its first model optimised for Huawei Ascend chips, though analysts say a full shift away from Nvidia is unlikely yet.
