Fasoo AI to launch AI security platform focused on AI visibility soon

Fasoo AI released a report based on a survey of 151 security managers at South Korean companies on shadow AI use. The report said many organisations allow AI use without separate rules, while bans do not prevent employees from using generative AI through personal accounts. It urged clear policies, guidelines and safe internal AI tools. Fasoo AI said it will soon launch an AI security platform to manage leak paths and provide visibility into AI usage.

Checkpoint Korea says AI security-first gains are taking shape, aims to expand firewall market share

Lim Hyun-ho (임현호), who took charge of Checkpoint Korea last November, said he aims to take an edge in AI security and use it to expand market share in firewalls. He said the company is seeing results and received high marks from customers during a proof-of-concept project last quarter. Checkpoint is focusing on its AI Defense Plane platform and AI-based CTEM solutions, while stepping up efforts to target the financial sector and invest in compliance infrastructure in Korea.

ITCEN PNS, Palo Alto Networks, Enki WhiteHat team up to counter AI-driven security threats

ITCEN PNS said on Tuesday it will work with Palo Alto Networks and Enki WhiteHat to jointly respond to cyber threats in the frontier AI era. The companies plan to combine ITCEN PNS commercialisation and networks, Palo Alto Networks\' AI-based integrated cybersecurity platform, and Enki WhiteHat\'s hacker knowledge database and AI-driven automated penetration testing. They aim to develop new business models linking frontier AI threat response solutions with offensive security services, starting with South Korean financial clients.
