Motif Technologies, which was eliminated in the second-stage review of the government’s independent AI foundation model project, trailed third-ranked LG AI Institute by 3.2 points overall. Motif topped the benchmark evaluation among four teams but fell behind in expert and user evaluations, finishing fourth. The Ministry of Science and ICT disclosed detailed scores on Aug. 27, shortly after Motif filed a formal objection and requested score disclosure and a re-review.

Use of artificial intelligence among UK office workers is rising quickly, but much of the time saved is being spent reviewing and correcting AI output, a survey found. Workers saved an average of 12 hours a week through automation, but used 6.3 hours on so-called agent management. While 78 percent said AI boosts their productivity, only 18 percent saw a meaningful impact on overall organisational performance.
