MSIT releases draft AI ethics principles, seeks public feedback until July
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Information Society Development Institute said on May 28 they had prepared a draft of artificial intelligence ethics principles and would begin collecting public 의견 from May 29. The draft inherits the 2020 government-wide AI ethics standards and reflects enforcement of the AI Basic Act and changes in technology and the social environment. It sets three core values and six principles and seeks feedback until July 8 via an online channel.

Science ministry launches advisory panel to draft AI ethics principles
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT launched an expert advisory panel on March 13 to begin drafting AI ethics principles aimed at building a safe and trustworthy AI society. The principles are intended to promote human-centred and responsible AI development and use, considering AI\'s potential positive and negative impacts. Under the AI Basic Act, the ministry formed the committee with the Korea Information Society Development Institute. It plans a draft by mid-April and final principles by June.
