Tennessee bans cryptocurrency ATMs statewide after Indiana
Tennessee has banned the installation and operation of cryptocurrency ATMs across the state, making both operators and businesses that allow the machines subject to penalties. Governor Bill Lee signed House Bill 2505 on April 13. Violations are classified as a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in jail and a $2,500 fine. Tennessee becomes the second U.S. state, after Indiana, to impose a statewide ban.

CES 2026 draws 148,000 attendees, largest since pandemic
CES 2026 wrapped up its four-day run in Las Vegas, drawing about 148,000 attendees from around the world, its biggest turnout since the pandemic. The event hosted about 6,900 global media representatives, 4,100 exhibitors and roughly 1,200 startups. Organisers said more than 55,000 attendees came from overseas. The programme included over 400 conference sessions, more than 1,300 speakers and over 200 government officials.
