Korea to ease conflict-of-interest rules for state researchers' startups and tech transfer
South Korea will ease conflict-of-interest rules that applied when researchers at government-funded research institutes started companies using their institutes' technologies or held stakes in firms that received transferred technologies. The Ministry of Science and ICT said revised laws were approved at a Cabinet meeting on Sept. 8 after passing the National Assembly on Aug. 20. The ministry plans to revise startup guidelines before the law takes effect in March 2027.

Korea Post to launch local love cards in Muju and Chilgok to boost seniors' financial access
The Ministry of Science and ICT's Postal Service will introduce local love cards in Muju, North Jeolla Province, and Chilgok, North Gyeongsang Province. It will launch the Post Office Muju Love Card on Sept. 10 and the Post Office Chilgok Love Card on Sept. 21. Residents can visit a nearby post office counter for guidance on card issuance and voucher top-ups, helping older people less familiar with mobile apps.

MegazoneSoft builds Google Workspace-based companywide AX system for C&C International
MegazoneSoft, an affiliate of AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud, has completed a Google Workspace-based AX system for cosmetics ODM company C&C International, it said on Wednesday. The companies built a work environment supporting real-time collaboration and the use of generative AI. MegazoneSoft said it validated functions and technology in advance and drew up a phased plan reflecting user workflows and security needs. It also provided change-management training and plans broader use of Google Gemini and BigQuery.
