OpenAI engineer arrested by FBI over alleged eavesdropping device hidden behind meeting-room TV
The Wall Street Journal reported that an OpenAI engineer was arrested on allegations of hiding an eavesdropping device in a company meeting room. The U.S. Justice Department charged Abdulrahman Alfozan, 35, with using or attempting to use a device to intercept conversations. Prosecutors said he placed a circuit board and microphone behind a wall-mounted TV. OpenAI said it found the device during a security check and notified the FBI.

Ministry of Science sets up planning division to steer seven SEED projects
South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT has set up a dedicated unit to oversee policies to foster future growth engines and link the seven SEED projects under an integrated cross-government 추진 framework. The Future Pioneering Planning Division was created under the Science and Technology Policy Bureau of the ministry's Office of Science and Technology Innovation and began official work on Oct. 8. The temporary unit will operate for six months through April 7 next year.

Apple TV 4K 2022 vs 2026: what has changed
Apple will launch its fourth-generation Apple TV 4K on Nov. 13, four years after the previous model, priced at $299. Engadget compared the new model with the third-generation Apple TV 4K, noting the shift to an A19 chip, increased memory, an AV1 hardware decoder and upgrades to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The new remote adds Precision Finding support, and the device supports a new four-HomePod surround setup.
