DailyPay launches twice-daily advance payouts for Baemin and Coupang Eats merchants

DailyPay has launched an advance payout service for restaurant small business merchants using Baedal Minjok and Coupang Eats, paying sales proceeds twice a day. The company said on Aug. 27 it will provide the service for merchants on the two delivery platforms. Delivery app sales are typically settled three business days later and can take more than seven days when weekends or holidays fall in between. DailyPay will settle automatically at 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., including weekends and holidays.

KT unveils 'Everyone's AI' blueprint to bring domestic AI into daily life

KT presented a nationwide AI model applying a range of AI technologies and services, aiming to expand AI into daily life by joining forces with major domestic AI companies. KT said it will build an app- and web-based general-purpose service called 'Everyone's AI' through a consortium with local AI firms. The platform will connect a general AI agent with public and sector-specific services, and apply related functions across existing services and channels.

MegazoneCloud, KISTI co-host quantum computing hackathon to seek solutions to industry challenges

MegazoneCloud and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information co-hosted the finals of the Quantum Reframing Challenge 2026 quantum computing hackathon on Aug. 26. The grand prize went to Quanskkuad, a team of three Sungkyunkwan University students, for analyzing copper catalyst efficiency in converting carbon dioxide to ethylene. The event drew 214 participants from 73 teams, including students, researchers and industry workers.
