KOSPI holds 5,800 level despite warning of Hormuz Strait closure

South Korea's KOSPI ended at the 5,800 level even as U.S. President Donald Trump warned of a closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The index fell 0.86 percent to 5,808.62 after opening sharply lower and then trimming losses. Retail investors were net buyers, while foreigners and institutions sold. The Kosdaq rose 0.57 percent. The won fell, with the dollar up 3.70 won to 1,489.20.
