Nvidia says Vera Rubin chip can train AI models using a quarter of Blackwell

Nvidia will launch a new AI chip late this year and says it will consume less energy while delivering strong computing performance. CEO Jensen Huang introduced the next-generation Vera Rubin chip at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. He said it is designed to handle AI requests faster and more cheaply than prior chips, and can train AI models using a quarter of Blackwell. A reduced-cable design could speed data-center installation.
