DCG-backed Uma launches Bittensor investment fund for institutions

Uma, backed by Digital Currency Group, has launched an institutional investment product called the Uma Total Market Fund. The fund offers exposure in one vehicle to Bittensor’s native token TAO and AI-focused subnets, allowing institutions to invest across the Bittensor ecosystem without selecting individual subnet tokens. Uma said the combined value of 128 subnets exceeds $900 million. Interest and related products tied to TAO are also expanding among asset managers.

Prediction market operators bringing trading infrastructure in-house could lead to more mergers and acquisitions across crypto platforms, sportsbooks, brokerages and independent exchanges, an analysis showed. Bernstein said the sector is moving quickly into an operational integration phase as platforms seek direct control over distribution, brokerage, exchange and clearing functions. Recent moves by Robinhood, DraftKings and Coinbase reflect the trend. Bernstein said regulatory scrutiny is a key barrier to large-scale consolidation.

Breez adds support for sending USDC, USDT using bitcoin balance

Breez has added a feature to its developer SDK that lets users send USDC and USDT to more than 30 blockchain networks using their bitcoin balance. Cointelegraph reported that users do not need to pre-convert or separately hold stablecoins. The feature combines the Lightning Network with atomic swaps. Breez identifies the destination chain and shows route, amount, network and fees before payment, while liquidity providers convert bitcoin and deliver the stablecoins.
