Shinhan Bank launches SOL Trip&Shop debit card
Shinhan Bank introduced the SOL Trip&Shop debit card, developed with Shinhan Card and designed for overseas online shopping. The card builds on the bank’s travel card line and offers enhanced benefits for online Visa payments. Users can earn up to 2.5 percent in points on overseas online purchases and receive cashback, including 11 percent on Hotels.com. The bank also launched a three-step customer event to mark the release.

KB Financial holds top prize ceremony for 80th Liberation ‘Rewriting Daehan Is Alive’
KB Financial Group held a top prize ceremony for its 80th Liberation anniversary lyric contest at KB Kookmin Bank’s Yeouido building. The project invites the public to write lyrics to a melody by music director Jung Jae-il. University student Han Seong‑il’s work was selected from 2,135 submissions and received 8.15 million won. KB Financial plans to release an official track with the new lyrics on March 1 next year. A company official said the contest highlighted enduring efforts to carry forward historical spirit.

KOSPI recovers 4000 after five sessions on US rally
The KOSPI climbed back above 4000 for the first time in five sessions on Thursday, supported by strong overnight US markets and buying by foreign and institutional investors. Gains in major technology stocks, including SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics, added momentum. Sentiment improved after the Bank of Korea held its base rate at 2.50 percent.
