Google adds automated workflow creation to vibe coding app Opal

Google has added an automated workflow creation feature to its vibe coding app Opal, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 24. Opal lets users develop mini apps with text prompts and use them to plan and execute tasks. The update uses the Gemini 3 Flash model to automatically choose tools, carry out tasks and plan next steps, requesting user input or offering options when needed. Opal first launched in the United States in July 2025 and later expanded to 15 countries.

AWS launches AI video conversion tool to optimize vertical format for social media

Amazon Web Services has unveiled a new AI video conversion tool, AWS Elemental Inference, targeting the social media live streaming market, SiliconANGLE reported on Feb. 24. The service automatically analyzes horizontal video and optimizes it for vertical screens for real-time use on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. AWS said it can cut editing time by converting footage on the fly, tracking subjects and highlighting key action.

Meta pushes return to stablecoins in second half; Stripe payment alliance likely

Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, is pursuing plans to enter the stablecoin market within this year, CoinDesk reported on Feb. 24, citing three sources. It is considering working with outside firms on payments using dollar-linked token technology. One source said integration could start in early second half. Meta plans to process stablecoin payments through external providers and has sent requests for proposals, with payments platform Stripe seen as a likely pilot partner.
