Coocon has launched MCP-based products that allow artificial intelligence agents to directly query and use external data.
Coocon said on July 20 it opened an "AI MCP dedicated product hall" on its data platform, Coocon닷net, and released 30 MCP products.
MCP is a communication standard that standardises connection methods between AI agents and external data and systems. Previously, developers had to directly integrate each API, but applying MCP allows AI to call the necessary data based on natural-language commands and use it for work.
Users can link Coocon's data products in MCP-supported environments such as "Claude Desktop", "Cursor" and "VS Code". Coocon explained that this allows not only developers but also non-developers to use AI for data lookup and automating repetitive tasks.
The dedicated product hall first released 30 MCP products in the financial sector, which has high corporate demand. Key products consist of data needed for corporate practical work, including identity and qualification verification, real estate and vehicle information, and business operator verification.
Coocon is expanding its existing data API platform into an AI data platform through this product launch, following its announcement in June of a plan to pursue an MCP-based data business.
The company plans to increase MCP products to 100 within the year and provide all products on an MCP basis by 2027. It also plans to expand support beyond data into the payments area and increase services that AI agents can use.
Coocon CEO Jong-hyun Kim (김종현) said, "This is an opportunity for Coocon to transition from a data API platform to an AI data platform," adding, "We will fulfil our role with services needed in the AI era by reflecting customer demand."
